A new video is going viral in social media for the past days. Intriguing enough as it make buzz in twitter world placing #GawadKabataan on fifth trending spot last July 9, 2014; likewise #GawadKabataanPressconNow at the second trending spot in the Philippines and fourth worldwide last July 12, 2014.
Not an ordinary Music Video
"Kabataan" music video is surprisingly an uptake from the usual music video that we've known so far. As the title implies, the video tells a story about two young teen boys who live in opposite lives - one is a rich boy who doesn't give importance to his education - and the other, a boy from the province; who work, study and become a role model inspite of being financially challenge.
How it differs from other MTV is how a simple story telling makes a big impact on the lives of the youth, no matter what status they have, rich or financially incapacitated. Kabataan music video is truly something that is both inspirational and aspirational.
Liwanag sa Dilim
We may not become the light but we are challenge to be the spark. As we are bombarded with new technology and new media platforms, we are encourage to use our resources to help especially in the sector of education. This is what became the inspiration of the Gutierrez Artist and Events to form its social advocacy arm - Gawad Kabataan.
About Gawad Kabataan
Gawad Kabataan aims to extend support, in any form, to the indigent youth who are in their stage of life survival that coherently needs full attention and most kind intervention in order to continue fighting life's challenges. In simple terms, its mission is to help bring hope to the youth from the poorest schools and communities in the society in able to create a society equipped of humans of goodwill. A society of kindness and sharing, committed to eliminate indigence and save lives.
Gawad Kabataan Ambassadors
Gawad Kabataan named two ambassadors for its advocacy projects - Jonathan Solis and Justin Lee. Jonathan Solis is a 15-year-old graduating high school student from Cavite while the 20-years-old Justin Lee is a graduate from Legazpi City with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration major in Marketing. Both were strangers to each other before but apparently put together because they are the best fit for the project- both with good presence in social media and role models in their respective places.
It's inspiring, how these two young men choose to live their lives as ambassadors to create a better society and surely we don't want to miss how they will live to the promise. For those who wanted to keep posted on them, you may follow:

Ooh.. (4x)
RAP Saan man ikaw mapunta, Luzon Visayas o Mindanao,
Ooh.. (4x)
