Universal Studios just released the 2nd official trailer of the much awaited film - The Bourne Legacy - which will be showing in theaters on August 3, 2012.
The 'new' Bourne Legacy film speaks right to the concern of many Matt Damon fans, as the titular hero of the Bourne Legacy trilogy, scolding; "You think that Jason Bourne was the whole story?... There's a lot more going on here."
The remarkable Jeremy Renner takes up the Treadstone tale as CIA operative Aaron Cross, who like Bourne is a specially trained assassin on the run from the very men who made him. Rachel Weisz co-stars as a scientist whose life is also at risk once Treadstone decides to close its doors and burn all evidence of its existence, including staff.
Connection from the Past
In an interview, Director Tony Gilroy said that Bourne's presence would be felt in the early parts of the 'Legacy'. He added "What happens in Ultimatum is really the spark that's blowing open the door to this movie because the Jason Bourne story is exploding out into the public... Being impossible to conceal any further is causing the problems for this much larger conspiracy... Ultimatum plays in the background of the very beginning of this film"
